intricate snowflakes

To go along with all of my wintery photos in my past blog posts, here is another...and one of my favorites. I received a macro lens for Christmas (which captures detail very close up) and I promptly ran outside to take some photos. When I realized that this lens was good enough to see the intricacy of snowflakes, I spent quite awhile out in the cold trying to get the perfect photo. I hope to post more photos taken with my macro lens, maybe even more snowflakes. I'm sure I will find a few more to take photos of before this long winter is over.
